Before he became an actor and commercial pitchman,
Olsen terrorized quarterbacks during his 15-year-career with the Rams
and played in 15 straight Pro Bowls.
Runner-up : Bob Lilly.
Worthy of consideration : Bruce Matthews.

A sack-master before it became cool, the 6'5' defensive end teamed with tackle
Merlin Olsen to give the Rams a "Fearsome" left side of the defensive line.

No. 76 | Lou Groza
You have to love a kicker who is nicknamed The Toe and wears a lineman's number.
Groza played 21 seasons, mostly with the Browns,
and led the NFL in field goals five times.

Worthy of consideration : Rosey Grier, Orlando Pace.
No. 77 | Red Grange
His is one of only two numbers retired by Illinois.
Here's why: On October 28, 1924, Grange scored on runs of 95, 67, 56, and 45 yards
-- in the first quarter. He scored a fifth touchdown in the third
and passed for a sixth in the final quarter.
As a pro with the Bears, his fame rivaled Jack Dempsey and Babe Ruth.

The dominant offensive tackle of his era, Munoz played 13 seasons for the Bengals (1980-92)
and was elected to the Pro Bowl 11 straight times.

Ferocious pass-rushing defensive end was a four-time Pro Bowl pick

역시나 NFL 스타들 잔치입니다. 포지션의 특성상 50번 후로는 참 처참할 지경이군요.
이번 10명의 선수들 중에는 그나마 MLB에서 칼튼 피스크만이 NFL의 독주를 막았군요.
하지만!
저에게는 제일 마지막에 등장한 선수때문에 다른 선수들은 눈에도 안 들어옵니다.
그야말로 레전드 중의 레전드. NFL을 대표하는 와이드리시버 제리 라이스입니다.
일전에 보셨던 조 몬태나와 함께 샌프란시스코 포티나이너스의 황금시대를 이끌었던 영웅.
몬태나가 떠난 후에는 스티브 영과 짝을 이뤘고 그 이후에는 가르시아의 공을 받았지만
결국 말년에는 샐러리캡과 팀 리빌딩의 과제를 안았던 샌프란시스코를 떠나 이적했죠.
그의 이적당시 쓰라렸던 아픔이 생각나는듯 하네요.
아마도 이 뒤로는 NFL 와이드 리시버의 연속이려니 싶습니다.
