No other number has produced more top-end players,
but Magic gets the nod for his five NBA championships
and for revolutionizing the point guard position.

Worthy of consideration : Marcus Allen, Steve Carlton, Julius Erving (ABA's Nets),
Franco Harris, Sandy Koufax, Karl Malone, Shaquille O'Neal (Heat), O.J. Simpson, Bill Walton.

My Comment : 같은 종목의 스타들을 대거 제치고 선정된 매직 존슨.
그의 능력으로 볼때 재고의 여지가 없긴하지만,
짐 브라운, 줄리어스 어빙, 샌디 쿠펙스, 새킬 오닐, 빌 윌튼 등은 같은 백넘버에
매직 존슨이 있었음을 한탄해야할 뿐이겠죠;;;


33  | Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Another loaded number. Jabbar owns numerous NBA records, including,
most famously, career points (38,387). He is a six-time NBA champion
(1971, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988).

My Comment : 매직 존슨과 더불어 리그 최고의 플레이어로 손 꼽히던 래리 버드도
카림 압둘자바에게는 자리를 내줄 수 밖에 없었네요;;;
이런 판국에 스코티 피펜이나 패트릭 유잉정도가 경쟁이나 되겠어요-_-;;;


No. 34  | Walter Payton

Sweet in disposition and talent. Payton retired as the NFL's alltime leading rusher (16,726)
and is considered by many to be the NFL's greatest running back.

Runner-up : Bo Jackson.

Worthy of consideration : Earl Campbell, Rollie Fingers, Hakeem Olajuwon,
Shaquille O'Neal (Lakers), Kirby Puckett, Nolan Ryan, Herschel Walker (college).


No. 35  | Phil Niekro

With a dancing knuckleball and savvy beyond his years, Niekro won 318 games
during a 24-year career. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1997.

Worthy of consideration : Doc Blanchard, Tony Esposito, Rickey Henderson.


No. 36 | Robin Roberts

He won 286 games for the Phillies -- including six 20-win seasons --
and was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1976.

No. 37 | Doak Walker

One of college football's greatest performers
 -- he starred at SMU at running back, defensive back and kicking --
Walker was a four-time Pro Bowler for Detroit and led the NFL in scoring
in 1950 and 1955.

Worthy of consideration : Shaun Alexander, Lester Hayes.

Here are a couple of others: a 213-142 career record, 3,086 strikeouts,
and two World Series titles with two franchises (Diamondbacks and Red Sox).

"Campy" won the National League's MVP three times,
and set a single-season record for catchers with 41 home runs in 1951.

Has anyone looked more graceful on a football field? Sayers' career was cut short
by injuries but he still managed to finish with 9,435 combined net yards.

My Comment : 31번부터 40번까지 사이는 제가 모르는 선수들이 더 많은 듯 하군요.
아마도 뒤로 가면 갈수록 더 그럴것 같네요;;;
